mad about dodo: the bachelor no one asked for... challenge 🌴🩷🌞

i know this is - probably - a mistake. but i can't help myself 😶 after watching dodo fail three attempts in bachelor/bachelorette challenges; deeply inspired by nafisa's bc (@flocy-sims); and somewhat persuaded that dodo needed his time to shine, am i right, @ethicaltreatmentofcowplants 😉? i decided to give dodo a bachelor challenge of his own.

who is dodo?

dodo, short for orlando harper, is a 7th generation spare. twin brother of the one and only, leonardo harper, and son of virginia harper and paolo rocca.

dodo is a sports enthusiast, being himself a one-star famous athlete. despite not having the ambitious and selfish nature of his twin brother and superstar actor, leo harper; orlando can be a somewhat attention seeker as well.

there’s nothing he loves more than to spend time at the gym or the football field. he’s not the romantic type... IN FACT, he performed many mean behaviours with all the bachelor and bachelorettes he interacted with 🙄 so i wonder, is there someone out there who could sweep dodo off his feet? that's what we'll find out, right?

important notes

the bachelor challenge will take place on sulani and will follow the island challenge's rules (with some adaptations here and there).

the bachelor and contestants will live off-the-grid and with just very basic survival items. they can’t leave the island (lot) and they are cut off from civilization completely.

first impressions + wicked whims will be in effect (but no adult content will ever be published). we'll be having rose cerimonies, solo dates, group dates and free days schedules. until we have only 7 sims left in the challenge, 3 sims will leave by round. also, leo harper is gonna try to steal the show once in a while 😄

This Specific Instance we're wishing death upon him more than the default amount because he's participating in Squidcraft, a Latino-made/hosted and primarily Latino-played Minecraft competition with a big cash prize. (Aka that irrelevant ass sweaty ass racist Texan is literally only playing to win more money he doesn't need. He also won last year's SC 🙄). Last year there were a few non-Latino players (like him), but this year there were a BUNCH, most likely thanks to the existence of QSMP. There were Americans, Brits, and French just to name a few!

My mutual @pixiecaps has been the most outspoken on my dash about the dumbshit being in Squidcraft, so I'll tag them here and they can add any additional context they see fit in the reblogs or replies. They might have insight or perspective that I don't bc they're Latino and I'm not. 👍🏻 And this was baby's first Squidcraft for me purely bc QSMP members were in it, so idk much abt previous ones whereas Pix might.

It's annoying enough that Crapnap is in the competition at all, but yesterday a bunch of other previous DSMP members (Philza, Tubbo, Foolish, to name a few) all died in one of the games together and were thus eliminated. Shatnap's petty nobody poopy ass was literally CHEERING when they all died, which is poor sportsmanship for one (he has none tho let's be real here), and two: No Toxicity is one of the competition rules. So by all means, he should be investigated by the Squidcraft mods and (hopefully) disqualified for his bullshit.

And some additional context bc my guess is this all plays into why he was so outwardly toxic like that: Tubbo has outspokenly hated the Dr*m Team for a while now. He also had direct beef with Shatnap bc the dumbfuck tried migrating to Kick (basically Twitch for bigots & predators, to say the least).

AND, most relevant and recent: Philza was just on Tommy and Jack Manifold's podcast Shut Up I'm Talking about a week ago, and on the Patreon version of the episode the three of them talked about how Dr*m is a piece of shit, they all hate him, and how nasty and weird he was behind the scenes during DSMP, especially to Tommy.

Dr*m Team 100% knows this was all said, bc a) some of it was clipped ofc and b) Dr*m fucking posted the DSMP world download as damage control after people started talking abt what was said on the episode bc god forbid he look bad and get negative attention for 2 seconds. He's been begged by numerous people for LITERALLY LIKE 3 YEARS to drop the world download and only JUST did it to do damage control and make himself look all good and innocent or At Least distract people (spoiler alert: didn't work, he just made himself look even more pathetic. He basically gave the people who correctly hate him a gift in addition to clowning on him).

Shartnap literally lives with Dr*m, so there's no way he doesn't know Tommy, Jack & Phil have spoken some of the truth TECHNICALLY PRIVATELY. IT WAS ON PATREON BEHIND A PAYWALL.

Soooo yeah. As usual, Dr*m Team fucking sucks ass (many such cases, no one is surprised). Crapnap is the ""last remaining"" of the Dr*m Team to not have some Extreme horrific controversy and that's what keeping him able to be in competitions like this, rather than isolated to a shitty corner with the other two dumbfucks. (CLARIFICATION: He DOES have controversies. You can assume what some of them are based off of things said in that post I linked. Plus the Kick thing. But in comparison to Dr*m [a groomer, among other things], and George [sexual predator, among other things], Shatnap is ""the least awful"" of them, which is almost definitely why he's still ""welcome"" in competitions like this one).

Additional silly context: I'm calling him variations of shit because he openly admitted sometime earlier this year that he shit himself (or at least sharted) on stream.

I have a lot going on with school: 30 hour a week clinicals on top of three hour class, my family is going through some stuff, I just moved and am still fixing things up in the new place, I’m trying, I wish I could dedicate all my time to this blog and to answering anons but sometimes it will be slow going, it will take me days, if that’s an issue for you, I can’t fix you or the deeper internal issues you may have going on and also you would be the same way because you also have a human life and are in the world and have things to do and things going on

So. It’s not very easy to deny them because they will find someone else, and you can try and beat them but a lot will offer cash (no mortgage) which usually takes priority to sellers. I refuse to deal with them but I also am not big enough of a presence to garner their attention beyond like. An individual who’s a flipper, in which case I tell them I don’t do investors. Which has offended some people. You can absolutely make your bread and butter doing rentals, only dealing with sellers, I even know people who take on short sales (IDK WHY. Gd I can’t even imagine), however most people agree that outside of commercial (which is all investors), residential investment clients are the way to go. I say fuck em! Those shitheads are the ones who game the market and make bubbles burst! However, real estate in general is a hard job to /solely/ rely on if you’re just starting out. A lot of newer realtors have a job, and real estate is actually their side gig. I’m very lucky in that my mom is one, gives me her extra clients, my broker LOVES me, and since I’m a…fairly recent graduate during covid, I still live at joke 🙄 have a lot of bills I still gotta pay, but not rent! Even still, I’m trying too move out stat, so I’m about to take a second job bc my car and medical expenses keep eating all my money.

Anyways back to the point! I stand by the fact that I don’t think you need rely on investors for income. I think they’re all shmucks who you can pass on to coworkers for a referral fee…but as far as besting them? Not much one little realtor can do 😔 aside from help regular people find homes and write smart contracts that will win sellers over, and also try and steer ppl the right way wrt environmental policies when they’re looking at certain homes. I don’t know anyone personally but I was reading about realtors who work with tribes to buy land back and convince homeowners to engage with land back policies, which is so cool and gives me a lot of hope to hear, but I gotta learn more about it and how it might work in my locale. Anyways, good luck dude! And if you ever feel the squeeze feel free to talk with me! I’m by no means an expert but there’s a lot of avenues in real estate that allow you to avoid actually selling to investors or land lords! Like becoming an inspector, a loan officer, a title abstractor, real estate paralegal, or even the receptionist at your office (it pays better than you’d think!)
